Shop For Beco Butterfly II Baby Carrier with Brown Base, Grace

I bought a Beco Butterfly 2 after my son outgrew the Bjorn.

First off, I just have to say that the Bjorn killed my back and shoulders. From what I've researched, it's also terrible for baby's spine and joints.

The Beco, however, is so much better for the wearer and baby. For wearer, it places weight on your hips, rather than your back and shoulders. For baby, it supports the baby in a natural sitting position.

I have been using the Beco for 1-2 months now for my now 23-pound son. I love it. We use it when we run errands or do chores around the house. As long as I adjust the straps properly, I don't feel discomfort in my back or shoulders. My son loves riding in the back carry around the house. He kicks his feet in excitement every time.

I love that I can use the Beco for front or back carry. The back carry took some practice, but I can get my son on my back by myself.

My husband also likes using the Beco. He finds it to be comfortable and easy to use.

The instructional DVD that comes with the Beco is quite helpful. If you purchase this product, you should watch it for info on how to use the Beco safely.

The Beco is a little pricey, but the comfort and ease of use make it worth the price! Highly recommend!Get more detail about Beco Butterfly II Baby Carrier with Brown Base, Grace.

Discount The First Years True Fit Convertible Car Seat, Aurora

We purchased this car seat for our daughter and loved it so much that when our son was ready for the next stage car seat we immediately ordered the same one! It is super easy to install, very plush, comfortable and easy to adjust. The color options were great however we preferred the Casino. The only downside (if I had to choose one -- is that the cover is not machine washable. It is very, very easy to surface clean but they do recommend not to machine wash it). Our daughter however threw up once in the car all over the car seat so we did machine wash it and hanged it to dry and it worked great. I would highly recommend this item!Get more detail about The First Years True Fit Convertible Car Seat, Aurora.

Buy Eddie Bauer Classic Wood Swing Bryant Collection Cherry

I loved this swing. The only thing that I could say bothered me was storing it. It was pretty bulky but the swing was comfortable for my baby and put her to sleep with the soothing music. It looks nice with my furniture and served its purpose. Would buy again for another baby. Get more detail about Eddie Bauer Classic Wood Swing Bryant Collection Cherry.

Arm's Reach Co-Sleeper Organic Cocoon, Hemp/Cream Top Quality

I am a second time mom--I used a crib for the first, and this hammock for the second. I love it because the baby loves it!! She sleeps excellently in this. It provides just a little bit of motion when the baby stirs and cradles her just a little on the sides. Here's a comparison with cribs.

Cons:
Technically, you're not supposed to use this when the baby is able to start crawling (children can stay in cribs for years), so you're going to have to switch to something else eventually, so if you just go for a crib to begin with, maybe you're saving money. But from this mom's perspective, the extra sleep you and the baby are going to get from this is worth every penny.

There is no safety harness strap. (Not really necessary unless you intend to use it beyond the recommended time--dare I admit it?)

Now that my child is used to sleeping in this, it will be hard to travel without it (since most people we visit have pack-n-plays). And if I wanted to travel with it that badly (I'm debating it), it would be another piece of equipment to haul along.

Harder to clean if something spills over. And you have to use specialty sheets, which are more expensive (Arm's Reach site sells a single sheet for $20.)

Pros:
Takes up less space than a crib. It's light and easy to move around.

It provides just a little bit of motion and cradles the baby at a nice angle--not flat on her back--so the baby doesn't realize that they've been "deserted" by mommy.

I can put her in the hammock, and gently rock it while she falls asleep instead of having the baby fall asleep rocking her in my arms and then waking her up trying to get her into bed.

I can easily reach into this to put the baby down or get her up and she's still secure. Because I'm short and they've recalled all drop-side cribs, it's extremely hard for me to reach to lift the baby in and out of the crib, especially if the baby is at the backside.

It's a nice neutral color that will fit in with any decorating scheme and won't distract the baby while they're trying to fall asleep.

My husband was a skeptic, but he's been won over. It's hard to want to buy baby equipment that you don't have experience with and don't know if you'll like, but I'm so glad I did.Get more detail about Arm's Reach Co-Sleeper Organic Cocoon, Hemp/Cream.
