I love this swing. It is perfect because it is small and compact. Yes the controllers are under the seat, but not hard to get to. The button to make the swing well swing is on the side which is really easy to get to. It does take a good amount of batteries. So I suggest rechargeables. I use this swing very often, and love the fact it is really easy to pack up and travel. All around a very good product to go with the snugride system. This swing is horrible. It took around an hour to put it together because the directions were so bad. It was easier to look at the box than use the directions. When I turned it on, it worked but the sound quality of the music was really bad. It also made an irritating popping sound from a preassembled piece that hit on a bar. I bought the SnugGlider as a baby shower gift and it arrived very promptly from Right Start. I was then contacted by the recipient of the gift and told that the motor did not work. I contacted Right Start who confirmed that they would exchange the item and sent me a UPS label for return of the item. When the family went to return the item for exchange, they discovered from Right Start that 2 days after my enquiry they went into Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The customer service representative was very polite and apologetic, but confirmed that there was no way to exchange the item and no possibility of a refund.
