This is a good gate for large openings. I needed a gate to keep my small dog off the carpet. The big drawback is the screws included to install the gate to the wall. You receive four small eye screws. After numerous holes in the wall trying to keep it in place, I finally gave up and now use it to block a smaller area. The screws stay in place if screwed directly into molding but don't bother connecting directly to sheetrock.
