This would have been a perfect gate for our mid-size mixed breed hound/beagle type, except that he's a climber. We should have named him Houdini. He was able to put his front paws on top of the gate, and climb the bars with his back paws, vaulting himself right over. He spent most days lounging on my sofa while I was at work, and I'd come home to pee on the rug, because he didn't want to climb back over to go to his wee-wee-pad area.
